Recent musings, monster update?
Well well, the time has come again for me to update the 'ole livejournal. Been a fair while eh?
Where's all the applause? Pfft, losers. haha.
Sooo..where to start eh? Download festival seems like a good position :p
Well, download was fucking ace. All the bands were amazing, to name a few: Dream theater, Static-x, Slipknot, Bring me the Horizon, We are the ocean, The blackout..too many to name!! Those were just a few of the bands I saw though, out of all the bands at download I'd only seen a few before so it was good to go see some new music and find some new stuff to listen to :D
There were a few hiccups at download too..basically, involved with this girl for a while who my mate liked..a lot. Decided not to tell him to spare his feelings but thought I had to tell him in the end. Which I did, at the most inopportune time possible I guess haha. Consequently he left on the thursday, before the music even started, which made me feel like a slight bit of a douche.
Did I say slight bit? I meant biggest dick in the world, lol. Ahh well, fast track to a couple weeks down the line and all is sorted out, things are back to normal between all 3 of us, as best they can be. Hoping things can go exactly back to how they were, but that'll take time.
On down the line a lil bit more..how hypocritical is this gonna sound; I met a girl, lol. We kinda hit it off, met each other once before for a couple of hours but that was in company. Went down to see her just us two and we went for a lil bit of a walk, talked loads, had a few cans to drink and walked a lil bit more. Ended up sitting on a bench when it was dark and just cuddling cause it was cold, then things kinda heated up a lil ;) It's all good, she's a nice girl. Still feel slightly conflicted about a few things though. But that's not worth mentioning really..nothing of any consequence will ever come from those things.
Also moving ahead with the uni stuff. Finished my course with a DDD at college (same as three "A" grades at A level) so I'm all set to take my spot up at the University of the West of England doing computer security. Just need to sort out my student support forms for the loan and grant, and need to sort out housing. Got an appoinment sorted out to go see a house on the 9th with Stu, proper student accomodation instead of just renting a house. Not preferable to what I'd wanna do but a house is a house. Can always move out and go somewhere else anyway.
And onto the final subject..where I'm posting this from! Currently in Turkey haha, spent a few days up in Istanbul when we arrived, taking in the sights and some of the nightlife, which might I add is fucking amazing. Went out with Ry(brother), Kor(stepdad) and Oskay(one of Kor's friends) a couple of nights and went out for a few drinks, was a good laugh haha. The hotel was pretty damn sweet too..4 star! Just the job! Back down in Antalya for the last bit of the holiday at the mo, enjoying the warmth haha. As I'm writing this at..1:37 am, it's currently 21 degrees C with a cool breeze outside, perfect. About 30 degrees in the day and sunny too, bliss! Gonna stay here till the 7th when we fly back and just relax..do a lil bit of sunbathing down the beach, go out a few times, chill! Safe as burbery gurns, as a friend of mine would say.
And that brings us to the end of this fairly mammoth update (well, compared to usual). See you..when I can next be fucked to sit down for 15 mins and update this sorry excuse for a journal :p
